When you have a business, you have a brand.

Your brand is the identity of your business. And as such, it needs to have these 7 components of a strong brand.

When your brand is aligned with who you are and what you do (meaning, that what you do, what you say you do, and what you project to your target audience are all in alignment), you set yourself up for success.

A strong brand reflects who you are, helps you stand out and attract your dream clients. (Not sure how strong your brand is? Take the quiz here.)

But what if that’s not happening?

If you’re not attracting your dream clients or any clients at all, you might be uncertain what the problem even is.

Is it a branding problem? An offering problem? A marketing problem?

If you don’t know the problem, you don’t know how to solve it. So the first step is understanding what’s wrong.

Here are 3 signs you have a branding problem

These 3 common scenarios indicate a potential branding problem:

1. You’re attracting the wrong people or no people at all. If you’re attracting the wrong people, something is off. When your brand and your message authentically reflect the work you do, the right clients flock to you, and the wrong clients stay away.

2. You’re inconsistent in your language, look and feel. If you say one thing on Instagram, another on your website, and yet another in person, people might wonder what is the real you? And when you confuse, you lose.  A consistent presence helps build trust with your audience and potential clients.

3. You don’t feel like what you’re sharing  is  a reflection of what you do. If something that you’re sharing or promoting doesn’t feel authentic to you, it’s not going to come across as authentic. That’s why it’s so important to get aligned with what you want in your business before you build your brand.

If any of those ring true, there’s help

If you’re nodding in agreement, thinking, “I may have a branding problem,” don’t worry! There’s help.

Fixing the problem starts with getting clear on what exactly what’s wrong …  and then understanding what you need to do to solve it.

The first step is to sign up for a Brand Audit to identify the specific weaknesses (and strengths) of your brand, and what you can do to make it even stronger, so that you can stand out and attract yoru dream clients.
